Terrain: Paths of gravel, pavement, tarmac, grass and earth. Some terrain will be muddy in winter. No gradients >1:10
Barriers: 6 stiles, 6 kissing gates, 1 hand gate, 1 field gate, 3 wooden footbridges with handrails, 1 railway bridge, 114 steps

Enjoy a pleasant ramble in the rolling Cheshire countryside, through arable farmland and pastures, along the Macclesfield Canal and across the Danes Moss Reserve.

On leaving the gardens, you first pass through arable farmland, then along a quiet country lane before crossing pasture and joining the Macclesfield Canal towpath. You then cross Danes Moss Reserve a Site of Special Scientific Interest, before heading back towards the Hall along the same country lane and across more pasture.
