With its sweeping lawns, sumptuous borders and majestic trees, this is one of the north west’s great plantsman’s gardens.
The Gardens at Dunham Massey are home to historic features such as an Orangery, Pump House, Victorian Bark House and the remains of an Elizabethan Mount. Snowdrops, daffodils and bluebells provide an ever changing landscape of colours and scents. In summer, see the celebrated rose garden take centre stage.
The deer park is home to a herd of fallow deer as well as a fully restored 400 year old working sawmill powered by a water wheel.
Dunham Massey has a cafe and a restaurant on-site, with plenty of options to enjoy. The Stables Restaurant has a wide range of dishes to suit every taste, from hot meals (served 12pm – 2.30pm), soup, sandwiches and salads, to cakes, sweet treats and cream tea. The café in the Visitor Centre is open daily serving a range of sandwiches, paninis, snacks, cakes and sweet treats.
