Carden Arms

Carden Arms, Tilston is a traditional country pub with an old fashioned bar, dining rooms, and luxurious guest bedrooms. Set in the heart of Cheshire, only 10 miles south of Chester, the Carden Arms started life as an 18th Century Coaching Inn providing board and lodgings for passing folk.

Now renovated this character has been retained and enhanced. Five elegant en-suite guest bedrooms provide home from home comfort, super comfy beds, luxury linens and fine English toiletries.

The bar and dining rooms are adorned with antiques and the roaring log fires make this pub heart-warming and friendly. Our kitchen prides itself on home cooked dishes created using produce from the pubs own farm and the village allotment. Our menu features specialities such as Cliffe Bank Hereford Beef, Pen-y-Lan Pork and Bourne’s Cheese; all produced within a stone’s throw of the pub itself.

An impressive selection of real ales (local, of course) and an abundance of fine wines from the sandstone cellar can be enjoyed. A Song & Supper Room is a private dining and drawing room where a dozen or so guests can be decadently entertained.

Carden Arms is a truly unique, independent pub; a rare breed indeed.
