This secluded and tranquil garden is one of Cheshire’s best kept secrets, this secluded garden wraps around the cottage in a series of linked ‘rooms’. Wide herbaceous borders display over 2,000 varieties of hardy trees, shrubs, climbers and herbaceous plants. Perennial borders were created to celebrate Cheshire’s Year of Gardens ’08 – providing beauty and interest from early spring to late autumn.

Adjoining the garden is a wildflower meadow, bluebell woodland and specialist plant nursery with an extensive stock of hardy perennials and shrubs.

Hot and cold drinks, locally made cakes and Cheshire Farm Ice Cream are offered on a self-service basis in the nursery tearoom during the week. At busy weekends, Cathy from ‘Cake Day!’ will be in the tearoom to serve her excellent selection of home-made cakes and lemonade.
